RUMe (of Coughee Brothaz), born Rodney Spencer, has been just below the surface of the Houston Hip Hop scene for many years. After several collaboration and group projects in the late 90’s and 00′ , his most acclaimed release was an epic recording, “Garden Tool”, a solo featured on Fresh Brew (2011), the Coughee Brothaz sophomore release. Which was the follow up the premiere album Waiting Our Turn(2007).


In 2012, A collaboration of Rum and 3BN “Cracks in the Foundation” was featured on a VH1’s Planet Rock, a documentary on the effects of the drugs on the Hip Hop music culture. Other appearances include: 3BN’s debut cd, Grown Folks Music (2012), the movie Hillbilly Highway(2013) sound track, and a feature on Devin the Dudes solo project, One fa the Road.

A solo project is currently in progress for the artist.
