I went out to Gringo’s Restaurant in Pearland Town Center on a Thursday night, no doubt. I will tell you it’s a nice environment for catching up with friends or going out with the family. It’s a Tex-Mex restaurant that has a variety of foods to choose from, but I had a hankering for some shrimp. My waitress was awesome and attentive, but not overly so. She so deserved her tip!
I ordered the Mexican Hurricane for the drink….should’a stuck with what I knew- The Cadillac Margarita! Yum!! Don’t get me wrong. The drink was okay, tasting like a fresh pineapple, but I’m not a sweet drink kinda girl. I like my liquor dark, hard, and straight.
Now, my food was the bomb! I started eating before the thought occurred that I should take a pic, so two shrimp are missing from the plate. I ordered the Shrimp Pacifico, that consists of 8 brochette-style shrimp, stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese & jalapeño and wrapped in bacon, served on a sizzling skillet with whipped lime butter. For my sides, I had the refried beans with Mexican rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, and fresh flour tortillas. Doesn’t it just make your mouth water? Can you taste it?
Mind you, I don’t typically eat much (Featured Image for Post), especially after making a lifestyle change and losing major weight. This set me back a few, but today I’ll be working it off. The temperature isn’t perfect, but at least we aren’t in the 50’s for the rest of the day!
