B.G. re-signs with Cash Money
Wow. Seems like Cash Money is padding the roster now that Wayne has FINALLY gone to prison to serve his year behind bars for possession charges. I mean, Weezy announced himself, that Cory Gunz, son of Peter Gunz, a new member of the squad. And then, last night, I began to get tweets about “Call Me 4 Dat Good” diva, JustBrittany, being added to the roster, and NOW, the biggest news of them all, B.G. is back!
Yes, you read right, B.G. aka B-Gizzle, aka tha Baby Gangsta is back home with Cash Money Records. You might remember the pretty public beef between the former Hot Boys and the label owners. B.G. and Juvenile basically ended up leaving CMR because they felt they weren’t being compensated properly and alleged Baby and Slim were pocketing all of the money while they were being cut checks for small fractions of the intake. Lil Wayne was the only Hot Boy that didn’t leave, nor did he complain.
In the years that followed the breakup of the Hot Boys, B.G. recorded several diss records aimed at Baby and Slim as well as appeared in countless magazine articles airing out their financial differences. As the years went by it seemed a Hot Boys reunion album had gone the way of a new Fugees record. With super-producer Mannie Fresh also out the door, Juvenile went on with mild success, Turk had been locked up for a good part of this decade, Lil Wayne became the ‘best rapper alive’, and B.G. still seemed to have a chip on his shoulder regarding his old label.
Fast forward to 2010….
All of the pieces are in place for a Hot Boys reunion by the time Wayne touches down from his Rikers bid. It would be hot, boy! #jussayin
Baby vs. BG….
Ahhh, the good ole days….could they be a’retunrin??
